The Story Behind the Lens
Photography is the way I see the world. Every frame is a decision, every moment a story waiting to be told.
Alfred Brown, known professionally as FredX, started his photography journey with a Canon EOS 30D — a camera that taught him the fundamentals of exposure, composition, and patience. He now shoots with a Sony A6000, a compact mirrorless body that punches well above its weight.
Alfred's favourite places to shoot are WWT Slimbridge — the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust reserve in Gloucestershire, home to an incredible range of birds and wildlife — and RIAT, the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford, where he captures fast-moving aircraft in dramatic detail.
Each photograph in this collection is available as a high-resolution digital file or a quality print for your home or office.
Light. Moment. Emotion.
"The best photographs don't show you what something looks like — they show you how it feels. I chase that feeling in every shot I take." — Alfred Brown
Wildlife
Patient observation at WWT Slimbridge — waiting for the perfect moment as birds and wildlife go about their world.
Aviation
Tracking fast jets and display aircraft at RIAT — freezing power and speed in a single frame.
Landscape & Nature
The natural world in all its variety — from wetland reflections to open skies.
Equipment & Process
Great photography begins long before the shutter fires. It starts with seeing — training the eye to find composition, to anticipate the moment, to understand how light will render a scene.
Alfred began shooting on a Canon EOS 30D, which built a solid grounding in DSLR technique. He now shoots with a Sony A6000 — a lightweight APS-C mirrorless camera that's ideal for wildlife at Slimbridge and the fast action of RIAT airshows.
Every image sold through this collection is delivered at its highest available resolution, ensuring it looks great whether displayed digitally or printed for your wall.
